ton garçon grandit

For those of you that do not speak français that means "your boy is growing". If I spoke français I could ensure that that is correct. But I dont so hopefully that means what I think it does.

I am loving the MTC it is pretty great! It's an odd place. Its one of the most stressful yet peaceful places. It feels like running a marathon all day everyday. But when it's time for bed I'm out. My companion Elder Jensen, is from Spokane Washington and loves the Seahawks. We get along super well. He looks a lot like Sam Darnold. In our room we have 6 bed but it is only Elder Jensen and then Elder Bingham from Spanish Fork and Elder Ripley from the OC. Elder Ripley is our District Leader.

Our district is the like advanced/intermediate French class. We have all taken French or and u have absolutely no idea what I am doing everyone is speaking. If going to the mtc is drinking from a fire hose then being put in rhe advanced language is like sitting there drinking from old faithful. The first day was supper bard because sœur Miguel spoke a lot of English and didn't have us have us try and speak a lot. Our other teacher Fréré Ruebacek only spoke in French and I did a lot better. I do a lot better having no English. Essentially i just want to be in complete darkness so my eyes can adjust so i can find my way to some light instead of never getting to adjust due to someone flipping the switch every five seconds. I love all my teachers and am excited to keep learning.

I love being here. One thing in really trying to do is be 100% obedient to all the mission rules. So I've really studied the missionary handbook so I do exactly what I am supposed to. During my Book of Mormon study on Friday I read the testimony of Joseph Smith. Halfway down the second page it says two simple words "I obeyed" he did not wait he just went and did what was asked of him. And that is what I want to do.

One of my favourite scriptures that I read on the plane here is 2 Nephi 4 I love verse 20 which states

"My God hath been my support; he hath led me through mine afflictions in the wilderness; and he hath preserved me upon the waters of the great deep."

The entire chapter is great I invite you to read it.

I love being a missionary. I can't wait to get into the field. I'll see you all later! Love you guys
