Elevators in Belgium?

Okay for this weekly email I would like to start off with something that probably, to my knowledge has never been attempted in a weekly email. We are going to do a little activity so here are the steps for the activity

first, I need everyone to take their right hand and put over your heart

second, i need everyone to start swaying right to left for 30 seconds.

now that you have done that i would like to congradulate everyone for being able to say that your hearts have been touched and you have been moved by what i had to say this week.

This week the elevator in our apartment broke, with me and Elder Purdy inside. So to save my distressed companion i took matters into my own hands and pryed the doors open, we were like 3 feet below the 2nd floor and so i found the lever to open the magnetically sealed door and pushed the door open and climbed out of the elevator.

This week has been a lot of fun. We did a lot of work with Èclairez le Monde. Showing the video on the street with the people that will stop. I was hoping Christmas would soften peoples hearts but literally one of the only people who stopped and watched the Èclairez le Monde video was a muslim guy who told us that he and his family would be celebrating christmas because he lives in a christian country,  He was a really cool guy.

We got to explore our sector a bit this week we travelled down the river to find people to teach and we found a town with one really nice lady who let us into her home and talked to us for a bit and then a bunch of grinches who told us that christmas sucks.

We got to go to Paris this week for a Mission Conference. So Wednesday night we went into Paris and got to see this Gigantic metal Christmas Tree that lights up every night. The Pyramids of Giza, I am surprised how long they made it being made of glass. And this church named after a college football team. I am assuming the person who built it was really moved by the movie Rudy.

The mission conference was really good Elder Johnson of the Europe Area presidency came to speak to us. He talked to us about our divine potential and how each one of us are Children of our loving Heavenly Father. He told us a story of after his mission and while attending college he had told his friendgirl that he couldn't come down to take her to conference because of work. When his work schedule changed he decided that he was going to surprise her so he drove the 6 hours to surprise her to find out that she was going to conference with the son of a member of the Quorum of the 12 apostles. Driving home defeated and after moaping around a bit he had the realization that he was a son of Lynn Johnson (nobody knows who that is, but I do and i am going to fight for this) and now he takes her to conference every year. He told us how when we realize our divine potential and how our Heavenly father views his children our attitude changes. That we all have a father that is very important. That He loves us and that He will always be our support. For that i will follow the son.
