when they always tell us "Yee-haw", but they never ask "haw-yee"?
quand ils nous disent toujours "Yee-haw", mais ils ne demandent jamais "haw-yee"?
This week was a fun one. Like I said last week, you have fun with FUNd. Just a lot of messing around in appropriate situations and funny inside jokes. We quote all sorts of funny movies and youtube videos. we are to the point where we started translating it all into French.

I love the members here. they are all so great. I can't imagine not being friends with them and not having a good relationship where they want to do missionary work.
In correspondence with the title of this email. We had our Branche d'Amiens Activité Western. It was the most fun I have had on my mission. and Elder Fund and I were in charge of everything. food, decorations, spiritual thought, activity. the only thing we didn't have to do is say the opening and closing prayer. For dinner. We made Beans, Mashed potatoes, Dinner rolls and Corncake (cornbread that we butchered)... no actual food/meat/substance. (ballin' on a budget)
For decorations we went to the French-Belge version of the dollar store or walgreens, Action to find some cowboy hats. We found some felt cacti, 4 ceramic bull skulls, and a dream catcher...
We watched the really funny (cringy) Church movie Legacy as our spiritual thought. The one where the Prophet Joseph Smith is ending disputes by hosting logging competitions
"all right now, I hear that you too are fighting over a young lady... so like lets go to the temple and whoever can saw through this beam ( so that we can use it for the temple)
...can have the first dance with (said female)"
and for our activity we taught our branch how to line dance. This was the best part of the whole activity. the members loved it. Line dancing is not a thing here. We taught them 2 dances and then did it to 4 different songs. some billy ray cyrus song, something about cowboy girls, boot scootin' boogie, and cotton eyed Joe. It was seriously the most fun I have ever had on my mission. I think our next activity with be rap themed and we will do the cupid shuffle and cha cha slide. these are some of the most fun activities ever. Ward/ Branch dance parties may be the best thing to ever happen from me serving here.
This week was super fun and this week should be fun to. We have interviews and Zone Conference. Then Friday our branch is sending off a missionary so we are taking him to the temple as the Branch Presidency. We also have a recent convert going to the temple for the first time. I am so excited for this week.
love y'all,
ab
