"Sometimes you just gotta kill Laban"

This Week was quite fun to be so honest. Like I said last week, Elder Fund's time in the mission is wrapping up and we are trying to make the most of it. I don't know if I have said this before but I am currently one of two people in the mission who have served in amiens. Everyone else has returned home. Just the two of us. So depending on what happens during the two weeks between Elder Fund going home and the end of the Transfer I may be the only missionary who has served in Amiens. Amiens is sort of the Hidden gem of the mission. Everyone ends their missions here and so it doesn't have a lot of hype. We met the new sisters in the district this week and they are wild the title of the email is a direct quote from one of them. another mistook me for a new missionary saying that I look like a 14 year old...

This past week, we visited the unknown medievil city of Péronne. due to the fact that no one makes it out of Amiens we had no Idea that Pérrone even existed. It is a little walled city on these ponds that was under the power of a Duke of France before the revolution.

During WWI and WWII the castle was used as a fortress and amunion base for the germans and the french. (obviously at different times) We had a few people who had requested copies of the Book of mormon, so we went to deliver them. we ended up walking 10ish miles between our exploration and visiting the people we went to visit.

We went on exchanges with the Zone Leaders, Elder Fund ended up going to the emergency room, therefore Elder Bunker and I ended up teaching all the lessons that we had planned. It was a really good exchange. I have been better about contacting EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO COMES MY WAY. Talking to absolutely everyone, and I will be honest. a lot of "no"s but we have found a lot of good interested people. People who seem willing to try, and to become better.

I think the Highlight of the week was definitely this sunday. We do a lot for the branch due to the size. So it is pretty normal to be saying a prayer, giving a talk, or blessing or passing the sacrament. Elder Fund asked me to say the opening prayer as they were dividing up responsibilities for the day, and then President Park comes over and I can tell he is going to ask me to do something. I figured it would be ushering or sacrament related but no i couldn't have been more wrong. I was asked to lead the music. I thought I could lead music. but I in fact can not. I do not know if I will be leading the music again in the amiens branch. but I will keep you updated.

hope all is well
