Fleeing in the night smuggling pain au chocolat :) (March 29, 2020)

Well... I am sorry for not writing these past weeks. I won't lie and say. I didn't have time because that simply would not be true.  We have had all the time in the world.

These past weeks have been relatively calm. Very boring. Lots of studies. Lots of trying. Lots of cooking. Experimenting. Playing games. Getting creative.

Some highlights have been
•elder Driggs and I have been playing pitch black hide and seek in our tiny apartment. It forces creativity and in this coronavirus apocalyptic world we live in I am certain that we could fend for ourselves.
we have learned how to play about 80 different versions of hero realms... win
•I have consumed 68 pain au chocolat while quarantined... wins.
•we got a call from President telling us to "pack everything you will be leaving in an hour... " we got transferred to Brussels. I will have now served in 3 separate areas within Belgium. With 4 of my five containing a part of Belgium.
• we packed everything before bishop bastiaens came to escort us to Brussels.
•bishop bastiaens then couldn't come because there are controls on the highways to Brussels.
•Frère Schuerch told us that he would give us a doctor's statement and paperwork to get us through the controls. All of this is happening at like 21h30
•we are no longer going to bruxelles that night and shuttle all of our stuff into our empty apartment for the night.
•because Sunday we would be taking the train to bruxelles and be taking all of our personal items as well as food and supplies.
•outran the police...
•elder bèlanger did the Brussels run in 12 km  ; ) how... we don't really know. It's like a solid 100 km between Liège and bruxelles...
•finessed the cops into not fining us by telling them I am American and we are returning home to the states and we came to Brussels to be able to leave immediately after we receive our flightplans... lie... no...half truth... yes. Just your friendly neighbourhood scruffy looking nerve hurter. You love me... I know.
•practiced social distancing.
• we look like spies rolling out in the night in suits to be escorted or should i say extracted... to another city. win.

Lowlights...
•i broke my phone.
•I have gone insane
•we essentially have no amis because they all think this we be over quickly and when we try to teach over the phone they say. "Ah we can do this after the coronavirus at the chapel..." Very frustrating

In short. Originally we were supposed to perform the flight in the night. To evacuate Liège but then got finesse by the cops. To which I countered their finesse with some finesse and sly charisma and now I live in Brussels with elder Canez again... :)

The scruffy lookin' pain au chocolat smuggler of Liège... that's a dying race...
