Pirates de la Belgique, painting like sistine chapel with Bob Ross

So this week was fun we had a baptism, did a lot of service, we watched our bus comendered by Gilet Jaunes. It was a really fun and productive week.

Friday we had an all day service project for one of our members. We started off by sanding and painting the roof of the bathroom. Then i sanded all of the banister to prepare it for primer and then Elder Purdy and I primed the banister. It is really fun to do service and it is one of the most productive things we do as missionaries. While we were working at Sœur Havrenne's we met Clément who's baptism was on saturday.

Clément lives in San Jose California but he is the nephew of Sœur Havrenne. His family is here visiting their grandparents and family in Belgium for the holidays. He is turning 8 in february but because of President Nelson's announcement he could be baptized here with his family. His family (dad, mom, little sister) speaks english and french so they were like my favorite people ever. We got to talk about the San Jose earthquakes a bit and he helped us work on finishing up the sanding on the banister. I find myself really enjoying the company of those who speak english, its really funny what happens what you can get done when you can communicate clearly..

Saturday morning we went with them to pick some stuff up for the baptism and to help clean up the church and arrange the chairs. His baptism was really cool, we met a lot of his cousins who live all over Europe.

After setting up for the baptism we went back to Sœur Havrenne's to finish working on the bathroom and put the last coat of paint on the bathroom roof. Painting roofs sucks but that badboy looks like the sistine chapel. If it was just a coat of white paint, that looks very nice nevertheless bland... i did get to make a lot of bob ross jokes and talk about the "happy little trees in a snowy white field" that was the roof of the 3rd floor restroom in the house.

On our way home from that our bus was comendered by a band of Gilet Jaunes. It was lowkey really funny. We lived considering i am writing this email...

I read a lot from the book of mormon and we gave a new copy of le Livre de Mormon to some of the Youth and re-extended the invitation from President Nelson to read the book of mormon and mark all the different names of Christ with a red pencil. As i have done this i have realized how much the book of Mormon testifies of Christ. I have been able to see the blessings in my life more clearly through a study big or small each day. I love the book of mormon. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior.
