so Where have you been? ....Uh france
I had many many many titles for this email.
Amiens just released a new Buses the NEMO's. the first city in Europe with a fleet of completely Electric Buses. they look really cool, they sound like space ships. they have really cool looking clear plastic seats that are the most uncomfortable thing on the planet. Unfortunately due to them being brand new, they have all sorts of problems. and although they are advertised to be coming every ten minutes Elder Fund and I have waited about 4 hours in total for buses in the 3 days that they have been out... Everyone gets really upset. But you know it's a really good conversation starter. Everyone loves to "talk" (complain) about public transportation. the nemos have kind of been ruling our lives right now. Saturday we busted out some christmas music and were singing while we waited an hour for our bus. We got some honks from passing cars.
•Fun with FUNd.
•Amiens: New Ville New Me
•the Book of Amiens (first year of the reign of the nemo's * written in the style of the book of Alma and the reign of the judges.)
•Christmas all year long
But anyways I can tell you one thing. I adore Amiens. I am still in the cold part of the mission. As evidence of all the red brick homes. (the farther north you get the more red brick you get in our mission where the farther south you go you get more variety of homes.)
Amiens is beautiful though. We have a huge the cathedral (the biggest in france) It is home to a piece of "John the Baptists skull". *note* the dna has been dated back to anywhere from 0-500 A.D. (very specific)
But I really can't complain it is very very beautiful building. If you have OCD I wouldn't recommend looking up a photo of it. it is a lot like Notre Dame de Paris just not symetrical, one tower is a little shorter.... (can you tell it bugs me...)

But yeah like I love Amiens. Elder Fund loves to have fun and do missionary work so like I am in heaven right now. We have had Dance Parties to hymns in the apartment (yeah you thought that wasn't possible, the people stay doubting).
I love amiens.
