Sherpas of the Tree of Life
This week was a ton of fun. Our District had a second baptism in as many weeks. Elder Fund and I had to go out to Arras to do that.
Wednesday we woke up got ready, picked up some medicine for Elder Fund, made some lunch and then got on our train to head to the interview. Legitimately our train doors close we start inching away from the platform and the Arras sisters call.

"hey are you on your train?"
"uhm yeah"
"well so okay, yeah sylvaine can't come and asked if we could move the interview to 18h?"
it was 12... It turned out to be a really fun day even though we were in Arras for a solid 7 hours.

so we did a companionship study, where we studied the vision of the Tree of life and after hearing about the group of climbers on Mount everest we decided that if we could rebrand the missionary department we would name it the "Sherpas of the Tree of Life" . We thought it would be fitting as we *should* be helping people hold to the rod to eventually make it to the tree of life.
After we made all the possible calls that we could and did all our studies
we decided to write a hymn for the new hymn book that is accepting submissions. So we went into the chapel and started experimenting with the hymn book and other sheet music that we had. We were debating on writing some new lyrics to some music from phantom (lowkey would be beast...)
and then we got really distracted and started tinkering with the hymns playing them in minor keys. If you would like an accurate representation of what I believe the telestial kingdom will sound like it's hymns in minor keys. It is the musical equivalent to the number one most effective parenting phrase,
"i'm not mad... just disappointed."
One other fun thing we did is went out to this town called Feuquières. It is a little town on the southern edge of our area that we had some members from. so we went out there to find them. the problem with this town is that although it takes a total of like 20 minutes by train and by bus. the buses don't come frequently so you end up sitting at the gare for close to an hour waiting for this bus. Once we finally got there we bought some pizza from a robot,
stopped by the two members homes, no one was home so we went to a local pond, hung out did weekly planning, met all the local Feuquières hill billies who were fishing in the pond with the most elaborate fishing set ups for a community pond.
then we saw all the youth of the town as they all came to hang out after school. We went on a walk outside the tiny village that ended up getting us to a cool forest and I ended up in a a huge field making a lion king video, standing up out of the grass like a meerkat. it was a fun day.
