RETOUR D'AMIENS (September 16, 2019)
Well people I am back in Amiens. i know that no one actually reads my letters but I am still sorry for not sending one last week.
I will give you a little run down of the end of my time in Valenciennes till now.
Elder Poulson went up to Brussels to be companions with Dallin (Elder Luth). So we did the Valenciennes tour of member appointments in which we share a meal. (No more mangezvous...) In my two weeks we ended up at this one family's house 3 times. One of them was for raclette which is literally the most blessed meal that descended from the heavens on a majestic white cloud. Being sent for the sole purpose of blessing man. In all seriousness, I loved getting to know this family and being able to do service for them.
Another funny thing happened, last monday night we were sitting after eating dinner and it was time to go so we say thank you and the sister gets up tells us to wait and then runs into the kitchen. She then brings out a plate of yogurt containers and asks if we want to take it with us. Elder Canez then blurts out of no where in the most like happy enthusiastic voice ever... "IS THAT GREEK YOGURT?" (in french of course) And she says " uhm... yes" (once again. In french) and he then goes off about how much he loves greek yogurt and I just start bursting at the seems with laughter. Not being able to control myself. It wasn't that funny but it was. Trios...
AHHH YES. LAST WEEK. the reason I didn't write was because I was at this super cool zoo called Pairi Daiza with our Lille District. I fed Lemurs, Elder Poulson and I got one of those weird pedicures with the fish that eat your feet. It was super fun.
Not a whole lot has happened since the return just the normal. Fabrice visit and daily calls from Romain. We are going to teach that family from the Dominican Republic that I met with Elder Fund.
Remember who you are and what you stand for,
Remember who I am,
d'Amiens avec amour,
Frère Bélanger
